In particular, the EU Council imposed restrictive measures against Voice of Europe, an online media outlet that, according to the Council, is involved in a systematic international campaign of media manipulation and distortion of facts to destabilize Ukraine, the EU, and its member states.

In addition, Voice of Europe was used as a means of channeling financial resources to pay propagandists and to create a network of influence on representatives of political parties in Europe.

The approved sanctions list also includes two individuals closely associated with Voice of Europe.
