EU summit urges Kyiv to continue on the path of reforms

The EU summit welcomed Ukraine's achievements to achieve the goals that underpin its candidate status and called for continued reforms.

This was stated in the summit conclusions, reports European Pravda.

"The European Council recognizes the significant efforts that Ukraine has demonstrated in recent months to achieve the goals underlying its candidate status for EU membership. It welcomes Ukraine's efforts to implement reforms in such difficult times and encourages Ukraine to continue on this path and to meet the conditions defined in the European Commission's conclusion on its membership application in order to move closer to future EU membership," the document said.

The European Union also acknowledged Ukraine's determination to fulfill the necessary requirements to begin accession negotiations as soon as possible.
