Fighting in the south of Gaza will be as intense as in the north

Israeli troops begin operating in the south of the Gaza Strip, while ground operations continue in the northern part.
This was stated by the IDF Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, RBC-Ukraine reports citing The Times of Israel.
"Yesterday and today we killed battalion commanders, company commanders, and many Hamas militants. And yesterday morning we started the same thing in the south of the Gaza Strip. It will be no less powerful than the operations in northern Gaza. It will bring no less results," he said.
According to Khalevi, Hamas commanders will meet the IDF everywhere.
"We can do this most thoroughly, and just as we did it powerfully and thoroughly in the north of the Gaza Strip. We are doing it now in the south of the Gaza Strip, and we are also continuing to deepen the gains in the north of the Gaza Strip," he added.-
