France condemns Russia's latest massive shelling of Ukrainian cities

Aug 15, 2023

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned a series of Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian cities on Tuesday night, which killed at least four people.

The French Foreign Ministry published a statement on its website.

The French Foreign Ministry emphasized that the latest Russian missile strikes were aimed at civilian infrastructure, including residential buildings, which once again illustrates Russia's cynicism and complete disregard for all the principles of international humanitarian law, which it shamelessly violates.

"These unacceptable actions constitute war crimes and must not go unpunished," the French Foreign Ministry emphasized.

"In close coordination with its partners, France will continue to provide military support to Ukraine to strengthen its air defense capabilities, as well as support to the Ukrainian courts and the International Criminal Court to fight impunity for such crimes," it added.
