France, Poland, and Germany to discuss EU enlargement

Ukraine will take part in a meeting of European Affairs Ministers of the Weimar Triangle countries, where the main topic will be the enlargement of the European Union.

This was announced by Polish Minister for EU Affairs Szymon Szynkowski vel Senk, WNP reports.

The Weimar Triangle is a consultative forum between Germany, France, and Poland. According to the Polish minister, the next meeting of this format will be held on May 12 in Kurnicki Castle, near Poznan.

Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Olha Stefanishyna confirmed her participation in the meeting, Wel Senk said.

The Polish minister noted that the top topic of the meeting will be EU enlargement, in particular, Ukraine's membership.

"The main topic will be EU enlargement, with a special emphasis on Ukraine, but not only, as we will also talk about the European perspective of Moldova and the Western Balkan countries," the minister said.

He added that part of the discussion will also be devoted to institutional issues in the EU.
