The lower house of the French parliament, the National Assembly, voted to recognize the Wagner PMC as a terrorist organization.
The resolution was passed unanimously, the Ukrainian embassy in France reported.
"We are confident that the next step will be to recognize Russia as a terrorist state. We are working on this with our French partners," the embassy wrote.
French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, commenting on the adoption of the resolution, wrote on Twitter that the crimes of the Wagner group cannot go unanswered.
She added that France continues to work on this together with its European partners.
It is worth noting that on April 13, the EU added the Wagner private military company and the Russian news agency FAN, associated with Kremlin oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, to its sanctions list. On April 20, Switzerland joined the EU decision.
