The defense ministers of the countries supporting Ukraine will meet in Estonia on Thursday to discuss the provision of further military assistance to the country, which is fighting Russian aggression.
This was reported by the ERR portal.
"The meeting of defense ministers, which precedes the Ramstein format, will be held in Tapa this time. In addition to Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur, it will be attended by British Defense Minister Ben Wallace and the defense ministers of Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania," Estonian Defense Ministry spokesman Thomas Mell said Tuesday.
Final confirmation of participation in the meeting is expected from another ten countries; invitations have been sent to representatives of France, Germany, Spain, Slovakia, Canada, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
This is a pre-Ramstein meeting at which Estonia, Great Britain, and several other countries will present a new package of military aid to Ukraine. Among other things, they include heavy weapons that Ukraine needs to repel Russian aggression, Mell noted.
