Israel rejects about half of the requests for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
According to Ukrinform, this was stated by the head of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Filippe Lazarini, Xinhua reports.
"Since the beginning of the year, half of the requests for assistance to northern Gaza sent by us have been rejected," Lazarini said.
According to him, UNRWA has identified regions in the northern Gaza Strip where residents are on the verge of starvation.
Lazarini added that a total of about 300,000 people in northern Gaza rely on UNRWA assistance to survive.
