Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant explosion leaves 16 dead

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has published updated data on the consequences of the Russian explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant on Telegram. The flooding has already killed 16 people.

1300 houses remain flooded: 1274 in the Kherson region, 26 in the Mykolaiv region.

3,614 people have been evacuated from these areas, including 474 children and 80 people with limited mobility.

16 people died: 14 in the Kherson region and two in the Mykolaiv region. Thirty-one people are still missing.

The police received over 4,800 reports of property damage.

"The enemy continues to give Kherson nightmares with shelling. But our people are unbreakable: the liquidation work continues. All services are working despite the Russian terrorist attacks," the Interior Ministry added.
