Lavrov's relatives leave Georgia escorted by security forces

The daughter of Russian Foreign Minister Yekaterina Vinokurova (Lavrov) and her husband, who are under Western sanctions, have left Georgia - where they were to be guests at a relative's wedding - amid a wave of protests.
The Georgian opposition TV channel Mtavari learned this from its own sources.
According to Mtavari, Vinokurova and her husband were accompanied by the forces of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia. They allegedly crossed the border at midnight and are now in Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, Vinokurov's brother's fiancée and other guests who were supposed to attend the wedding stayed at the Kvareli Lake Resort hotel, the opposition TV channel claims.
