"After submitting the conclusions of the situation analysis by the commanders and service chiefs, it was found that today, August 1, 2023, two Belarusian helicopters violated Polish airspace while conducting exercises near the border," the statement said.

It is noted that the border crossing took place near the border village of Bialowież. The helicopters were flying at a very low altitude, which is why they were not detected by radar systems.

Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak called for an increase in the number of soldiers at the border and the allocation of additional forces and means, including combat helicopters.

It is noted that the Charge d'Affaires of Belarus will be summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for explanations.

It should be understood here that there would have been actions to kill if the Poles had detected the helicopters while they were over Polish territory. Warsaw should make this clear so that hostile regimes are not tempted to repeat provocations.
