Princess Victoria of Sweden visits Ukrainian military at exercises
The Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel visited the Ukrainian military at the Interflex exercise, which is taking place in the UK.
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
"HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Duchess of Westergotland and HRH Prince Daniel of Sweden, Duke of Westergotland visited Ukrainian servicemen who are being trained as part of Operation Interflex in the UK under the guidance of Swedish instructors," the statement reads.
The visit was attended by Swedish Defense Minister Pal Johnson, Swedish Ambassador to Poland Stefan Gullgren, Swedish Military Attaché to the UK Per Appelqvist, British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps, Chief of the British General Staff General Patrick Sanders, and Operation Interflex Commander Colonel James Thurstan.
The guests got acquainted with the training of Ukrainian servicemen who are undergoing a basic general military course in eastern England. They talked to the Ukrainian military, including company and platoon commanders with combat experience, about the course of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The heiress to the Swedish throne expressed her support for the Ukrainian people in the fight against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
