This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, during a telethon.

He reminded me that recently 119 Ukrainian prisoners of war in Russia were visited for the first time. Ukrainian representatives were provided with video evidence.

According to Lubinets, some of the 119 defenders were verified as prisoners of war, while others were not. Three soldiers were even considered dead.

The Ombudsman noted that the visits are a tool to understand that Ukraine's defenders are alive.

"I can officially state that we have an agreement - by the end of this year, on the eve of the Christmas holidays, there will be three more visits to approximately the same number of prisoners of war. I hope that we will visit up to 400 of our citizens in this way through the countervailing party (Russian Ombudsman Tatyana Moskalkova - ed.). We will be able to get at least some access to our citizens," Lubinets added.
