Russia continues to forcibly issue its passports to Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories. Employers are required to submit lists of employees who have not yet acquired Russian citizenship.

This is stated in the morning report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 29.

"In order to increase moral pressure on the residents of the temporarily occupied Horlivka, Donetsk region, and to force them to obtain Russian citizenship, the occupiers sent an order to local enterprises of all forms of ownership to provide the so-called "Ministry of State Security of the Donetsk People's Republic" with lists of employees who have not received a Russian passport. The deadline for fulfilling the order is January 1, 2024," the report says.

In addition, mass forced passportization is carried out in other ways. In particular, in Blahovishchenka, Zaporizhzhia region, local residents, especially pensioners, are offered a reward of 50 thousand rubles for obtaining Russian citizenship.
