Russia expels an employee of the Romanian Embassy

The Russian Foreign Ministry has declared an employee of the Romanian Embassy in Moscow persona non grata.
This is reported on the website of the Russian ministry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said it had summoned Romanian Ambassador Cristian Istrate. He was handed a note.
An employee of the Romanian embassy, whose name has not been made public, will be expelled from Russia.
The Russian Foreign Ministry explained that such actions are a response to the "unmotivated decision" of the Romanian authorities to declare an employee of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest persona non grata.
