Russia holds more than 20 thousand Ukrainian civilians hostage

At the moment, the Russian Federation is holding more than 20,000 Ukrainian citizens hostage. After the liberation of the occupied territories, this number may increase significantly.

This was reported by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets. He emphasized that people are being held illegally.

"We assume that the Russian Federation is currently holding more than 20 thousand Ukrainian civilians hostage. However, after the liberation of the temporarily occupied territories, this number may increase significantly," Lubinets said at a press conference in Kyiv on Thursday.
