Russia is preparing to deploy another 200–300,000 troops to the war in Ukraine. This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Reuters reports.
It is known that Russia is sending more manpower and equipment to the front. At the same time, Ukrainian forces managed to stabilize the front in the northeastern Kharkiv region.
Currently, the enemy holds about 500,000 troops in Ukraine and near its borders, but the Kremlin plans to increase this number by another 200,000-300,000.
“Their goal is to open a new front in the north to start using all their manpower and firepower against us. They continue to achieve their goal of destroying the nation,” the statement said.
Umerov emphasized that Ukrainian defenders need more weapons, long-range missiles to deter the occupiers.
