Scholz believes Harris can win the US presidential election
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that US Vice President Kamala Harris has a chance to win the presidential election.
He stated this during a press conference, Stern reports.
The chancellor described Harris, whom he has met several times, as “a competent and experienced politician who knows exactly what she is doing.”
“I think it's very likely that Kamala Harris will win the election,” Scholz said, adding that the decision will be made by the voters in the United States.
He also added that Harris has “very clear ideas about the role of her country, about what's going on in the world” and about “the challenges we face.”
Top Democrats in the US Congress endorsed Harris' candidacy the day after she received the support of the majority of delegates to the Democratic Party convention.
