According to Prokudin, three civilians were killed and ten others were injured, including two law enforcement officers, as a result of the shelling of a boat evacuating people from the left bank.

"A 74-year-old man, when the enemy opened fire, covered his wife with his own body. The Russians shot him in the back. He died from his wounds, doctors did not have time to help him..." wrote the head of the regional state administration.

Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that they managed to evacuate 21 people from the left bank, "almost all of them are elderly and less mobile."

"It was a big risk, but we could not leave people to their fate. As a result, we were shot in the back. Three civilians were killed. Ten people were injured," Klymenko wrote.
