Steinmeier calls on China to influence Russia for peace in Ukraine

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier has called on China to use its global political weight to influence Russia to achieve a just peace in Ukraine.
This was discussed during Steinmeier's talks with Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang, who has begun a visit to Berlin, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.
According to the German president's spokeswoman, the talks focused on Russia's aggressive war against Ukraine.
"President Steinmeier emphasized that China can use its global political weight and influence on Russia to achieve a just peace," Kerstin Gammelin, the German president's spokeswoman, said on Twitter.
