Today, December 5, the Defense Forces of Ukraine destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber in the area of Zmiiny Island.
RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the commander of the Air Force of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk and the comment of the spokesman of the Navy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Dmytro Pletenchuk.
"It's been a long time since we've had any downed Russian "dryers" in our assets," the message says.
Oleschuk reported the destruction of a Russian Su-24M bomber in the area of Zmiiny Island, which, under the cover of a Su-30SM fighter, tried to launch a missile-bomb attack on the south of the Odesa region.
"Thanks to the successful operation of the "South" air command, the Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile unit sent the Russian "Sushka" after the "Russian warship", Oleshchuk added.-
