Apr 11, 2024

On Thursday, April 11, the head of the US Central Command (CENTCOM), General Michael Kurilla, will visit Israel to discuss the threat of an Iranian military attack on the country.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Axios.

During the visit, the general is expected to meet with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant and senior officials of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Meanwhile, the Al Jazeera TV channel, citing an American official, reported that President Joe Biden's previous promise that US support for Israel's security was “ironclad” "was not made in a vacuum."

The official added that if the attack was carried out using missiles and drones, US forces could help shoot them down. And he added that the US does not rule out a joint response with Israel if the Jewish state is attacked by Iran or its puppets.

The statement added that US and Israeli officials from various departments have been in contact over the past few days. Countries are preparing for a potential response from Iran.
