The decision on negotiations with Putin should be made by Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy must personally make decisions regarding any potential negotiations with Volodymyr Putin.
This was stated by the representative of the US State Department Matthew Miller, reports RBC-Ukraine concerning his video briefing.
"Regarding any meeting between President Zelenskyi and President Putin, I would say that the decision should be made by President Zelenskyi himself. We have made it clear that it is Ukraine that is in charge of the process when it comes to its future, and this applies to any potential negotiations," Miller said.
According to him, Ukraine has repeatedly stated that it is open to negotiations with Russia that will respect the territorial integrity of Ukraine and its sovereignty.
"But the obstacle has always been and remains the fact that Vladimir Putin did not give up his imperialist goals, did not give up his conviction that Ukraine, according to him, is not a real country. And he has no intention of withdrawing his troops from the territory of Ukraine," - added a representative of the US State Department.-
