At their next meeting, EU foreign ministers will discuss the organization of a summit to promote Ukraine's "peace formula"; there are proposals to hold it in Copenhagen before the NATO summit.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, a top diplomat from Sweden, which currently holds the EU Council presidency, said this on condition of anonymity.
The discussion will take place at a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council on Monday, May 22.
"The summit is scheduled for mid-July and will be held in Copenhagen, that's what I can say for now," he said.
Reacting to journalists' remarks that the NATO summit is also scheduled for mid-July, which will take place on July 11-12 in Vilnius, the diplomat clarified that there is an intention to hold the Zelenskyy Peace Formula summit before the NATO summit.
Speaking about the purpose of the event, the source said that this summit is being held to prevent China from offering a proposal that "repeats Russia's narratives," but to give the Ukrainian point of view a platform and greater visibility in the international arena.
