The General Staff named the purpose of the explosions in Dzhankoy

The strike on Russian Kalibr missiles in Dzhankoy will not prevent the Russian invaders from supplying weapons to their fleet, but it should harm the enemy's supply in the temporarily occupied territories of southern Ukraine. This was stated by Colonel Serhiy Baranov, acting Chief of the Main Directorate of Combat Strike Systems of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to him, there are other railroad junctions, in particular, in Simferopol, that are used to supply enemy ammunition to Crimea. However, the explosions in Dzhankoy were supposed to disrupt the movement of occupants' weapons to Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
"Dzhankoy is one of the junctions on the branch of the railroad that goes to Melitopol or Kherson. One of the goals of such fire is to completely stop or impede the logistics of the enemy groups located on our territory," Baranov said.
