The head of the Ukrainian Embassy leaves Georgia
Charge d'Affaires of Ukraine in Georgia Andriy Kasyanov has announced that he is leaving the country.
The statement was published by the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia on Wednesday.
The diplomat noted that during his four years in Georgia, he tried to make every effort to strengthen and develop friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Ukraine and Georgia.
"Returning to Ukraine, my family carries with it a piece of warmth and kindness of fraternal Georgia, just as here in Georgia, among our many friends, a piece of our Ukrainian family, our customs and traditions of the Ukrainian people will remain," Kasyanov said.
He also expressed his belief that Ukraine and Georgia have a common future in a single friendly family of European nations and that the strategic goal of our countries to join the EU and NATO is a matter of the near future.
