This was stated by a representative of Israel's special services, RBC-Ukraine, reports with reference to The Times of Israel.

Hamas-affiliated media also reported the deaths of two of Haniyeh's grandsons, and the wounding of a third. The IDF specified that they were militants of a terrorist group.

Amir Haniyeh was a unit commander in the military wing of Hamas, while Hazem and Mohammad Haniyeh were lower-ranking fighters, also in the military wing. The representative of Israel said that the three sons were on their way to carry out terrorist activities in the central part of Gaza when they were struck.

Haniyeh, who is based in Qatar, confirmed their deaths and said he "thanks God for giving us the honor of their martyrdom".
