“We have 218 political prisoners, 133 of them are Crimean Tatars, which is more than 60%. They are indeed illegally taken from the peninsula and tried in the Russian Federation. In fact, there are no opportunities to release our citizens and civilian hostages,” Tasheva emphasized.

At the same time, she added that Russians continue to commit the crime of deportation.

“The crime of deportation, for which Russia or the Soviet Union did not repent, is actually returning. And we see this actively after the full-scale invasion, when they are spreading the crime of deportation, in particular of children and civilians, not only on the territory of the Crimean Peninsula, but also on other temporarily occupied territories,” Tamila Tasheva noted.
