The battle for Chasiv Yar is in full swing

Russian army units continue their attempts to attack Chasiv Yar in the Bakhmut district of the Donetsk region. The intensity of the fighting is high, and there is no tendency for it to decrease, said Roman Gasko, spokesman for the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade.

“The battle for Chasiv Yar is in full swing... The intensity has been high for quite a long period of time, and we do not observe any downward trend. The enemy has a sufficient amount of artillery ammunition and personnel. The enemy is using its superiority in some components and, accordingly, is set to continue its activities in the direction of the city,” he noted.

The 80th Separate Airmobile Brigade also said that the army forces are constantly regrouping and changing their tactics in the specified section of the front.

“We have to understand that the enemy learns lessons well from each battle it conducts. He makes adjustments to his activities and selects different ways to conduct his actions in certain areas. Tactical moves, both on our part and on theirs, are constantly changing,” explained Gascoe.

According to him, since the occupation of Donetsk region within the administrative boundaries of the region is one of the enemy's priority goals, he has concentrated a huge amount of manpower and ammunition here.

“The entire Kramatorsk direction has become one continuous line of defense,” he summarized.
