The international community does not provide enough assistance to Ukraine because of fear. This was stated by Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, ERR reports.

“Fear is holding us back from supporting Ukraine. Countries have different fears, be it nuclear fear, fear of escalation, fear of migration. We should not fall into the trap of fear, because that is exactly what Putin wants. He wants us to be afraid and not support Ukraine out of fear,” Kallas said.

At the same time, she expressed her belief that support for Ukraine should continue.

“We have to help Ukraine push Russia back to its borders. We must continue to apply sanctions until Ukraine's territorial integrity is restored,” the Estonian prime minister emphasized.

In addition, Kallas said that Russia should compensate Ukraine for the damage caused, and the Russian authorities should be held accountable for their crimes.
