This was reported by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs.

“Australia, in coordination with international partners, is imposing targeted financial sanctions on six more organizations associated with North Korea's supply of weapons and related equipment to Russia,” the statement said.

The agency emphasized that the transfer of North Korean weapons to Moscow is a gross violation of numerous UN Security Council resolutions.

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong noted that deepening cooperation between North Korea and Russia would have serious consequences for the security of Europe, the Korean Peninsula, and the entire Indo-Pacific region.

She also emphasized that Australia will continue to work with allies to hold Russia and the DPRK accountable.
