The ship Marianne Danica, loaded with weapons for the Israeli Defense Forces, was not allowed to enter the Spanish port of Cartagena. The refusal of the request to enter the port was announced by Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares.

The foreign minister explained that the ship was not allowed to enter because of the country's domestic policy, which prohibits the export of any weapons to Israel since the start of the war in the Gaza Strip in the fall.

“We have identified this ship, we have denied it entry, and I can tell you that this will be a consistent policy for any ship carrying Israeli weapons and arms cargo that wants to enter Spanish ports,” Albares said.

The journalists learned that Marianne Danica was carrying about 27 tons of explosives from Madras, India.
