This is reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with AFP.

"Today we have about 25% of what we need to protect Ukraine. I'm talking about air defense," the President said.

Russia currently has air superiority. This limits Ukraine's ability to defend cities and the front line. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine needs modern fighter jets to be on parity with Russia.

"In order for Russia not to have air superiority, our fleet should have 120-130 modern aircraft (to the current ones - ed.) ... to protect the sky from three hundred (Russian) aircraft," the president said.
