This was announced by US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin during a meeting with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, RBC-Ukraine reports citing the Pentagon press service.

According to him, air defense missiles will be delivered to the Ukrainian military on the front line in an accelerated manner, as the United States recently decided to transfer such weapons to Ukraine out of turn. Deliveries to other allies will be postponed because of this.

"Ukraine has been in a tough fight since the very beginning of the reckless war that Putin (Russian dictator Vladimir Putin - ed.) chose. The Kremlin continues to intensify the bombing of your cities and civilians. But I remain impressed with the skill of your troops, and your troops continue to repel Russia's attacks with tenacity, ingenuity, and courage," Austin said.
