Ukraine's energy sector suffered nearly $57 billion in losses

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Ukrainian energy sector has suffered more than $56 billion in losses.

This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to a report by the International Monetary Fund.

"As a result of Russia's full-scale invasion, Ukraine's energy sector suffered losses of $56.5 billion," the report says.

It is noted that during the full-scale invasion, about 18 GW of capacity was occupied, including the largest nuclear power plant in Eastern Europe, the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

In addition, Kakhovka and Dnipro hydroelectric power plants, as well as Zmiiv and Trypillia thermal power plants were destroyed.
