US is not opposed to the AFU strikes with American weapons in Crimea

The position of the United States on the use of American weapons by the Ukrainian army on the territory of Russia remains unchanged, but this does not apply to Russian military facilities in the temporarily occupied Crimea.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder during a briefing.

"Our policy on the use of long-range weapons against Russia has not changed," Ryder said, answering whether this issue was discussed during the meeting of the defense ministers of Ukraine and the United States.

At the same time, in response to a clarification on whether this applies to the occupied Crimea, he noted that "Crimea is Ukraine."
