Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this during a government meeting on Tuesday, Ukrinform reports.

"The World Bank will become one of our key partners in the recovery," he said.

According to Shmyhal, Ukraine has already agreed with the World Bank to intensify joint thematic programs to rebuild the country right now. In particular, the Prime Minister clarified that in the energy sector, it is the $500 million Re-Power project. In this context, Shmyhal recalled that last week an agreement was signed in Washington on the first $200 million to restore Ukraine's energy sector and urban heating systems. At the same time, in the field of transport infrastructure, we are talking about the RELINC project for $585 million, and in the field of healthcare and hospital rehabilitation - Heal Ukraine for $368 million.

In addition, Shmyhal added that as part of a special program to respond to the challenges and restore Ukraine, it is planned to attract an additional $6 billion from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He informed that these funds will be used to restore critical, social and transport infrastructure.

"Now we are waiting for the program to be approved and launched this year," the head of the Ukrainian government summarized.
