Trump no longer wants to plan a debate with Harris

The campaign of former former president and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said that they do not want to plan a televised debate with his likely rival Kamala Harris until she is officially nominated.

This was reported by AFP and the Associated Press, according to Yevropeiska Pravda.

Earlier this week, Trump said that he was ready to meet Kamala Harris at the debate several times. The first date was supposed to be September 10, the date on which the next debate between Biden and Trump was scheduled.

However, his campaign later said that the details of the debate could not be finalized until Harris officially became the Democratic nominee.

“Until the Democrats officially decide on the nomination (...), it would be wrong to plan anything with Harris because Democrats change their minds very often,” said Trump campaign spokesman Stephen Chang.

Harris then criticized Trump for this step back and said she was ready for a debate and that voters deserved it.
