Two U.S. planes patrol over the Black Sea

The US aircraft Boeing P-8A Poseidon is monitoring the situation in the Black Sea; another US aircraft is in the air.

According to the Flightradar flight tracking portal, the American Boeing P-8A Poseidon aircraft is on duty over the coast and territorial waters of Romania. The P-8A is an anti-submarine patrol aircraft. It is designed to detect and destroy enemy submarines in patrol areas, conduct reconnaissance, and participate in anti-ship and rescue operations.

Also, a Cessna UC-35A Citation Ultra aircraft, which is part of the American Army, was spotted over Romania. It is a transport version of the civilian V Ultra modification for the U.S. Army and Air Force. Also, five V Ultra, purchased by the U.S. Department of Defense in 1995 for drug cessation reconnaissance, are equipped with AN/APG-66 radar and WF-360TL thermal imaging systems.
