Ukraine has already developed its own air defense systems

Ukraine has its own development of medium-range air defense systems, and they are currently being tested. This was announced by the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, MP Yehor Chernev during a telethon.
"We have air defense systems. The latest ones. They are now of medium range. Of course, this is not an analog of Patriot, SAMP-T or IRIS-T, I think they are close to HAWK, or such medium-range systems that are Ukrainian-made and Ukrainian-developed," Chernev emphasized.
According to him, the developments "are now being tested, anфd quite successfully."
"The missiles have already been developed," the MP added.-
As for the country's military-industrial complex efforts to produce ammunition, the MP said that maximum resources are being used to increase production.
"Not only the state produces it, there are private contractors who... partially produce mine casings or something else, but we are using all resources to increase this projectile program. And a shell produced in Ukraine is three times cheaper than what we buy in other countries, for example, 122 or 152 shells," Chernev emphasized.-
