Ukraine seeks compromise on grain exports

Jul 24, 2023

On Monday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced a meeting on the export of Ukrainian agricultural products amid Poland's intentions to close the border to grain from Ukraine after September 15, when the restrictions imposed by the European Commission expire.

Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel.

The head of state noted that Ukraine "believes in the agreements with the European Commission" but is preparing for any developments regarding the export of Ukrainian grain.

"Our position is clear: blocking exports by land after September 15, when the relevant restrictions cease to be in force, is unacceptable in any form. We are in touch with all stakeholders to find a solution that suits everyone," he added.
