Vucic admits that Serbian weapons could end up in Ukraine

Mar 11, 2023

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has suggested that Serbian-made weapons could have ended up in Ukraine through intermediaries and that Belgrade has no influence on this.

Vucic said this in an interview with Happy TV channel.

"No matter what ammunition is exported somewhere, it will end up in Syria, Mali, or another country where the war is ongoing. We comply with all the laws, we have not violated anything, everything is clean as a whistle, and, of course, neither Russia nor Ukraine has anything to do with this," the Serbian president said at first.

He then immediately added that there are traders who can buy weapons, and they could end up in Ukraine or Russia.

"We have to feed people somehow, our economy has to grow. We make weapons, not heels, so what should we do now? We have not broken any laws. But everyone remembered: 'Now we will report Vucic to Russia,'" Vucic said.
