Zelenskyy discusses defense aid and EU accession with the Bulgarian PM

On November 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Ukrainian leader's Telegram page.

"While in Zaporizhzhia, I had a conversation with Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and thanked him for his powerful speech in the European Parliament, as well as for his government's principled position in support of Ukraine," the statement reads.

According to the president, he informed the prime minister about Ukraine's current defense needs, in particular, the strengthening of our Air Force and artillery.

They also touched upon the topic of Ukraine's accession to the EU.

"I emphasized the importance of unity in supporting Ukraine's European integration, as well as multi-year assistance worth 50 billion euros," the president wrote.

Separately, Zelenskyy invited Bulgaria to send a representative to the next round of negotiations on the "peace formula" scheduled for early 2024.
