Zelenskyy talks to President of Moldova about events in Transnistria
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu on the sidelines of the Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit held in the Albanian capital Tirana on February 28.
This was reported by the Office of the President.
The leaders of Ukraine and Moldova discussed "recent events" in unrecognized Transnistria, Russia's attempts to destabilize the situation there, and "effective tools to counter the influence of the aggressor country," the statement said.
Separately, Zelenskyy and Sandu reviewed the work of transport corridors for the export of Ukrainian products through Moldova.
The parties also discussed the integration of Ukraine and Moldova into the EU and agreed on "further mutual support and coordination of efforts" on the path to membership.
