11th in February: AFU destroyed another Russian plane
The Ukrainian military shot down another Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber in the east. It was the eleventh one in February.
This is reported with reference to the Telegram of the Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk.
According to him, today is February 29, a date that falls once every four years, but is already a familiar day for Russians with the loss of another aircraft.
"Minus Su-34 on the Eastern direction! Thank you for your work! Victory on the ground is forged in the sky!" the general said.
The Su-34 downed by the Ukrainian military today became the eleventh aircraft lost by the occupiers since February 17. On that day, the Ukrainian Air Force destroyed three Russian aircraft - two Su-34 fighter-bombers and a Su-35 fighter jet. They were also shot down on the eastern front.
As a reminder, on February 27 and 26, it was reported that two more Su-34s were shot down. In addition, on February 23, a Russian A-50 aircraft was shot down over the Sea of Azov. This is the second A-50 that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have downed since the beginning of the large-scale war.
