It is noted that the IMF mission will last from September 4 to 10.

The key topics are the implementation of measures identified under the Program for the next review, including the implementation of fiscal structural reforms. In addition, the participants will discuss the restoration of debt sustainability and the reform priorities of the Government of Ukraine.

According to Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko, since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion, the IMF has provided Ukraine with $10.2 billion in budgetary aid. This is the third largest source of external financing after the EU and the US.

“We continue to work systematically with our international partners to ensure macro-financial stability in times of war. The IMF's assistance in this process is a coordinating one between donors, which helps to mobilize resources for the priority needs of Ukraine,” the Minister emphasized.

The Ministry of Finance also noted that as of the beginning of September 2024, Ukraine has fulfilled 23 structural beacons out of 37 provided for in the Memorandum with the IMF under the program. Of these, 14 were related to the fiscal sector.
