The funds were raised by the residents of Freiburg and will be used to rebuild an elementary school in Lviv that was destroyed by Russian shelling.

‘We will not leave our friends in Lviv alone and will continue to support them as much as we can. I would like to thank all the people of Freiburg who made this ambulance possible with their donations,’ commented Martin Horn, Mayor of the German city.

The Freiburg City Council noted that their delegation is in Lviv to provide long-term support and plans to sign a memorandum of understanding on a project for the Unbroken Hospital Centre in the field of traumatology.

‘The support of our German friends is invaluable in these difficult times,’ Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi was quoted as saying.
