33 million tons of agricultural products were exported to 45 countries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced the results of grain exports from Ukraine under the grain deal. The President said this during his video address to the citizens of Ukraine on July 17.

Zelenskyy noted that he had sent letters to the President of Turkey and the UN Secretary-General containing a proposal to extend the grain deal.

"I have sent official letters to Turkish President Erdogan and UN Secretary-General Guterres with a proposal to continue the work of the Black Sea Grain Initiative or its analog in a trilateral format - in the most reliable way. Ukraine, the UN, and Turkey can jointly ensure the operation of the food corridor and ship inspections," Zelensky said.

According to him, Ukrainian food is basic security for almost 400 million people.

"The results of our Black Sea Grain Initiative are eloquent: almost 33 million tons of agricultural products were exported to 45 countries. 60% of the volumes went to the countries of Africa and Asia, in particular Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan... We also exported to China, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, Yemen... Our food exports must allow us to save lives in countries such as Yemen and Somalia... of different people... of different religions, different ethnic origins... But they all have the same right to life! ", Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
