869 medical facilities damaged by Russia have been restored in Ukraine

During the full-scale war in Ukraine, 869 medical facilities have already been restored.

This was reported by the Ministry of Health, Ukrinform reports.

“For more than two years of war, 869 medical facilities have been fully or partially restored in different regions of Ukraine. Of these, 512 have been fully restored, and 357 have been partially restored. These are medical facilities in the de-occupied territories, as well as those that have suffered minor damage: broken windows, roofing, facade damage, etc. Most of the facilities have been restored in the Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions,” the statement said.

The Ministry of Health reminded that 1,604 medical facilities were damaged as a result of Russian shelling and attacks, and another 211 were completely destroyed and cannot be restored.

The biggest losses were incurred in the Kharkiv, Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Dnipro, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia regions. It is currently impossible to obtain comprehensive information on the extent of damage to hospitals in the temporarily occupied territories.

In addition, since the beginning of the war, Russia has damaged 165 ambulances, destroyed 261 ambulances, and seized 125 ambulances.
