A series of explosions occurred in Kharkiv

Explosions were heard in Kharkiv on the night of May 25 during an air alert declared in the region due to the threat of enemy missile attacks, including ballistic missile attacks.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Sinegubov.

The explosion in the city area occurred around 00:35. Local social media reported that several explosions were heard.

“It's loud in the city. Be careful!” The mayor of Kharkiv said this in a statement on Telegram at 00:36.

The administration also urged Kharkiv residents to stay in shelters during the air raid.

“Kharkiv and the district: stay in shelters!” the head of the Regional Military Administration wrote.

Repeated explosions

Approximately ten minutes later, more explosions were heard in the city.

“A series of explosions in Kharkiv,” Terekhov said.

“Repeated explosions!” added the head of the Regional Military Administration.

Earlier, an air alert was declared in several regions in the east of the country. The command of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces warned of the threat of enemy attacks using ballistic weapons.
